It was bred in England in 1950. Perhaps the best-known variety to date, available in many garden stores; it has an extremely homogeneous stock, almost all plants are similar. The flower stalk is low, the flowers are a beautiful dark purple color, they give a long-lasting color even when dry, a favorite of florists. Its essential oil is harsh. During the harvests so far, this variety has yielded the least oil. It flowers at the end of June.
This vintage has a truly special scent, sweet, almost reminiscent of a perfume.
