Sunflower seed cream is made from the by-product of the settling of pressed oil during the production of cold-pressed sunflower oil. Thanks to the Zero Waste food production technology applied by Grapoila, it would be a shame to waste this thick, oily cream. It is an excellent source of nutrients and vegetable protein, but its carbohydrate content is low, so it fits well into vegan, vegetarian, paleolithic diets. It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins (B, C, D, E vitamins) and minerals (zinc, iron, selenium, calcium, magnesium), and vegetable fiber.
Sunflower seed cream is an extremely delicious and healthy, versatile kitchen ingredient that does not contain any additives or preservatives. Using sunflower seed cream, we can make heavenly dips and sauces in no time, but we can also mix it into cream soups or pasta sauces. We can enrich our dishes with a new flavor by serving it with roasted or steamed vegetables.
Makes an excellent sandwich spread by combining the following ingredients to taste: sour cream (or yogurt, cream cheese, cottage cheese), onions (chives, leeks, shallots, garlic or roasted red onions), raw or roasted peppers, tomato sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, parsley, lemon juice (balsamic vinegar), mustard, salt, pepper or other spices (e.g. cumin, thyme, turmeric, oregano).
